Consultations:
We know that it is essential for patients to feel absolutely comfortable when choosing a dentist as well as a “dental home”. That is why we offer complimentary consultations. At this time you are invited to meet us, see our office, and with no obligation or pressure discuss your individual needs and desires for a beautiful smile.

Diagnostics: In order to insure success in our procedures, we take the necessary time to fully and thoroughly evaluate your present dental condition. We use the appropriate diagnostic tools such as X-rays, models, photographs, visual examination, full periodontal exam, cancer screening, and esthetic evaluations. Our goal is to give our patients the necessary information and education so that they may enjoy a beautiful, healthy smile for many years to come.

Cleanings: We believe a good foundation is the key to optimal oral health, therefore, our periodontal care is of utmost priority. We customize cleanings to properly care for your specific periodontal (gums & bone) needs. Whether a six month checkup or full periodontal therapy, our hygienists will always strive to provide the very best treatment while maintaining your absolute comfort. You can even watch a movie while you visit! Try it, we know you'll like it!

Fillings:
Modern dentistry has allowed us the pleasure of combining beauty as well as strength when filling teeth. We take pride in "restoring" teeth to as close to their original strength and appearance with composite resins and ceramics. Since patient comfort is top priority, our clinical staff and doctors go the extra mile to make coming to the dentist a whole new positive experience. We offer Nitrous oxide, movies, music but most importantly good old TLC.

Crowns:
Crowns are used to restore both anterior and posterior teeth that have been broken or are at high risk of doing so due to over-sized old fillings or fractures. There are a variety of materials used to construct these and by working with the finest laboratories in the country we are pleased to produce crowns that look and feel like your real teeth.

Bridges:
Bridges are fixed, or non-removable prosthesis constructed to replace one or more missing teeth. The teeth on either side of the existing space are used to anchor the bridge to restore functionality as well as esthetics. We are now able to construct beautiful porcelain over metal as well as full porcelain and resin-based bridges to produce the best results for each particular situation.

How BriteSmile works

The BriteSmile Professional Teeth Whitening treatment consists of a gentle hydrogen-peroxide whitening gel activated by a special, patented light operating in the gentle "blue spectrum." The gel and light were both developed by BriteSmile, Inc. and are available exclusively at BriteSmile Professional Teeth Whitening Spas (find out more) and the offices of BriteSmile Associated Dentists. Unlike traditional bleaching methods, with BriteSmile there's no fuss or mess and no gels or trays to take home. All you have to do is sit back and relax while the BriteSmile dental professionals do the rest.

The patented BriteSmile light is not UV, heat or laser-activated. It is a gentle, blue light that is wavelength matched to our whitening gel to effectively whiten and brighten your teeth in just about an hour.

Don't accept imitations. Ask your dentist if they use the BriteSmile system. Don't be fooled by less effective, unproven systems that may not work as effectively or may not be as safe as BriteSmile.

What is Invisalign®?

  • Invisalign® is the invisible way to straighten your teeth without braces.
  • Invisalign® uses a series of clear removable aligners (pictured to the left) to straighten your teeth without metal wires or brackets.
  • Invisalign® has been proven effective in clinical research and in orthodontic practices nationwide. In fact, over 70% of all U.S. orthodontists are certified to treat patients with Invisalign®.
How Does Invisalign® Work?
  • You wear each set of aligners for about 2 weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss.
  • As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move - little by little, week by week - until they have straightened to the final position your orthodontist or dentist has prescribed.
  • You'll visit your orthodontist or dentist about once every 6 weeks to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned.
  • Total treatment time averages 9-15 months and the average number of aligners worn during treatment is between 18 and 30, but both will vary from case to case.
How Are Aligners Made? You'd Be Amazed...
  • The aligners are made through a combination of your orthodontist's or dentist's expertise and 3-D computer imaging technology.

Why Invisalign®?

Invisalign® can help you get the great smile you've always wanted because it's...

Invisible, so no one can tell you're straightening your teeth. So now you can smile more during treatment as well as after.

Removable, so you can eat and drink what you want while in treatment, plus brushing and flossing are no problem.

Comfortable, because it has no metal to cause mouth abrasions during treatment. And no metal and wires usually means you spend less time in your doctor's office getting adjustments.

Invisalign® also allows you to view your own virtual treatment plan when you start, so you can see how your straight teeth will look when your treatment is complete.

Benefits of dental implants over other treatment options

  • Helps to maintain the shape of the face.
  • Helps to preserve the bone in the jaw- Removes the need to grind down healthy teeth for a bridge.
Can eliminate the pain of ill-fitting partials and dentures.
  • Makes replacement teeth stable for eating and smile with confidence.
  • Is the closest possible replacement to natural teeth.

About implants?

Dental implants - a "natural" solution

Dental implants are the preferred replacement for lost teeth. As anchors in the jawbone, dental implants form a stable foundation for permanent attachment of the crown; grinding of adjacent teeth does not take place, and since implants act as "artificial dental roots" by transmitting the chewing forces into the jaw, implants help to preserve the bone.

A single implant as root substitute is the most elegant way of achieving a cosmetically ideal closure of the gap. In jaws with no teeth at all, dental implants are a secure fixation method for removable full dentures and so spare the patient the usual disadvantages of conventional "false teeth".

The procedure

Straumann's pure titanium implants are produced in accordance with the highest quality and hygiene standards. A gentle surgical procedure is used to place the implants in the jawbone. The implants remain undisturbed for a period of usually 6 weeks (in healthy patients with good bone quality and quantity), while the bone remodels around them, forming a strong biological bond, similar to the bone between your natural tooth roots and jawbone.

Unlike most types of implants, there is usually no need for a second surgical procedure with the Straumann implant. This is more comfortable for you and much easier on the delicate gum tissue surrounding your implant supported replacement teeth. Once the bone has remodeled around the implants and the foundation is stable, a small connector is attached to them.

Your new replacement teeth, which will be custom made with both functional and cosmetic needs in mind, will be firmly attached to the connector. Fabricating your new teeth involves one or more appointments to ensure proper size, shape, color, and fit.

Why consider anything less for the restoration of your oral health?

Conscientious oral hygiene and regular check-ups with your dentist are important for long-term success.

I know how important it is to find a good dentist…I’ve had several root canals and other major dental procedures. Dr. Shammaie is someone I have been able to trust! He is efficient, knowledgeable, and takes the time to explain things to me. Thank you Dr. Shammaie.
--Jenny

Going to the dentist may not be on the top ten favorite things to do list, but here I always know I will get the best care tailored to my needs in a comfortable and friendly environment.
--Michelle

My experience at Woodside Dental has always been pleasant. From the moment you enter the dental office, the charming Liana creates a first impression to remember! Dr. Raschkofsky is the best. While in the dental chair and under her care, she assures you that everything is okay. She creates an environment that definitely helps eliminate “the dentist chair jitters.” The staff at Woodside Dental are certainly a winning team! Because of them I do not dodge or dread the thought of going to the dentist.
--Raelyn

Prior to becoming a patient at Woodside Dental I was in a very unpleasant state of mind regarding dentists due to my past experiences. Fortunately, from the very first moment I entered the office the entire staff was friendly, warm and kind, but most importantly they were all absolutely professional. Due to this I was able to set aside my past negative experiences and focus on my dental issues at hand. Thank you Woodside Dental!
--Priscilla
